Companies We've Met

Financial Literacy Project

The Career Development Department, in partnership with Fundação Dr. António Cupertino de Miranda, leads the pioneering Financial Literacy Project “No Poupar Está o Ganho” and works with more than 200 schools in Portugal. The project promotes basic economic concepts, encourages saving habits and boosts the social awareness of children to these subjects. It has, to this day, been responsible for the training of more than 24,000 pre-school, elementary and secondary students.

Equity Research Challenge

The Equity Research Challenge is open to all Master in Finance students of the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP U. Porto), who are allowed to participate with the valuation they worked in during Business Valuation classes. Participants have the opportunity to present their company’s valuation, in English, to a jury panel composed by FEP teachers and the Corporate Finance team of a firm. In previous editions, jury members were from consulting firms such as KPMG and Deloitte.

Talks

FEP Finance Club promotes the reunion of the academic community with keynote speakers to discuss the major issues of the professional world, aiming to achieve an open-minded debate. The first edition counted with notable professionals from KPMG to explain the real differences between Audit, Tax and Advisory.

Finance Meetings

Finance Meetings are informal sessions for students who seek to learn from the experiences of CEOs and other professionals in Finance. In these meetings, professionals explain not only how a day at the office is, but also which path they took to get to where they are. The objective is to give students a valuable insight into a specific career in the world of professional finance.

FEP Trading Cup

FEP Trading Cup is a competition organized by FEP Finance Club in partnership with an investment bank and the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP U. Porto). This competition gives participants an opportunity to interact with the stock market in real time, without any risk, by using a trading platform.
